Helmet Sizing Information
A proper fit is essential for safety. To get an accurate measurement, use a soft fabric tape measure or a piece of string that you can measure with a standard ruler afterward.
Technical Notes
Ensure measurements are taken three times to verify consistency. Spindrift provides these resources to assist in hardware specification; final fitment remains the responsibility of the athlete.
How to Measure Your Head
- Locate the Widest Point: Position the tape measure around your head, about one inch (2.5 cm) above your eyebrows (the widest part of your forehead).
- Take the Measurement: Wrap the tape horizontally around your head. The tape should be snug, but not too tight. Make sure it is level all the way around and not sagging.
- Check Your Size: Take the measurement in centimeters and compare it to the brand charts below. For a race-ready fit, the helmet should be snug. If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend selecting the smaller size for a more secure fit.
